What young men did to become a Nazi
In the last couple of months, the Nazi army was recruiting young men to join the force
even though it was already hopeless and their army was falling. They were required to
give a holy oath:
“I swear this holy oath by God that I will give the Fuhrer of the Greater German Reich and its people, Adolf Hitler, the Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht, my unconditional obedience and, as a brave soldier, be prepared to lay down my life for this oath anytime.”
This oath swears that these men would be dedicated to the Nazi
army and that would give their life for it at any cost, the ultimate sacrifice. Even nowadays
the thought of sacrificing yourself is very strong, it’s important. This is one of the leading
reasons why Adolf Hitler thought the navy was so great, these men would go at any task
with everything they had and that impressed Hitler.
